What is a Mould board Plough?


A plow specially designed to be used in canal irrigated or heavy rain areas where too many weeds grow.

It completely inverts and pulverizes the soil up-root all weeds, trash, and crop residues, and bury them under the soil.


It is a tractor-mounted plow consist of a share point, share, mouldboard, landside, and frog, shank, frame, and hitch system. The share point of bar type and is made from high carbon steel or low alloy steel. 



What is the use of Mould board Plough?

It is a primary tillage implement. It cuts trash and buries completely. it is used for turning manure crops under the soil, which adds humus to the soil. it's also used for turning and mixing compost, farmyard manure, or lime into the soil.

How does moldboard Plough increase the fertility of soil?

Mould board Plough cuts, lifts, breaks and loosens the soil that has been compacted through machinery traffic or natural causes to a depth of usually 100–200 mm below the soil surface.
